About Sparrow House Children’s Theatre
A place where stories grow wings.
Once upon a time in Toronto, there was a little theatre filled with puppets, laughter, and wide-eyed wonder. That beloved space—Humpty Dumpty Puppet Theatre—was more than just a stage; it was a childhood landmark.
Now reimagined as Sparrow House Children’s Theatre, we’ve taken its 15-year legacy and launched it into the future.
Sparrow House is a not-for-profit theatre and cultural hub for children aged 3 to 12. We create immersive, inclusive performances that celebrate diversity, encourage imagination, and support emotional growth. Our mission? To show that kids don’t need to “sit still to learn”—they can leap, play, imagine, and grow through theatre.
We blend timeless storytelling with modern tools—yes, even AI—to meet young audiences where they are today. Interactive sets, sensory-friendly experiences, and play-based learning are just the beginning. At Sparrow House, theatre isn’t a show—it’s a shared adventure.
